Awesome list! It’s great to see The Sweet Smell of Success so high in your rankings. I don’t hear enough about that film. Do The Right Thing remains stunning 25 years later.

  2. Chris

Nice work, Eric! The Wages of Fear is awesome, I watched it recently. Ikiru became an instant favorirte when I saw couple years back.
Do you have another project lined up for 2014?

I haven’t seen all the films you’ve listed, but many of them I have I think they’re great. Nice to see Passion of Joan of Arc at number one and Do The Right Thing at number two, both incredible pictures.

    Excellent choices, Eric!

Very pleased to see ‘The Last Waltz’, ‘The Wages of Fear’, ‘The Battle of Algiers’, ‘Belle du Jour’ and ‘Sweet Smell of Success’ rate so highly!

Really pleased with ‘Rififi’ placing. One of the best foreign heist film!

I really enjoyed your lists. Very different than what most people might like. I have not seen anyone mention Three Colours in ages. I might have placed Sullivan’s Travels a bit higher, but everyone has a list and everyone’s will be different. I enjoyed reading this a lot.
